My life of service started in 1992 when I joined the U.S. Air Force straight out of high school. My country first sent me overseas to Japan to support our mission in Asia as a contracting officer where I was responsible for making sure taxpayer money earmarked to support our troops was not lost to Department of Defense bureaucracy. While there I was voted Pacific Airman of the Year 1996 and earned a college degree. In 1997, my country sent me to Germany where I supported missions in both Bosnia and Iraq, making sure our troops got the support they needed and ensuring that taxpayer money was spent lawfully.

As a civilian I entered the construction business, first working in the masonry business in Sun Valley, Idaho. I came to Western Colorado in 2000 and started my business, Action Estimating, where I help small contractors compete with large companies by performing cost estimates and other services that are incorporated into their bids.

Throughout my professional career, both civilian and military, people depended on me to do the job right every time and I will do the job right for Garfield County.
